Not every tap in your kitchen needs to be your drinking water source. If you're already boiling water for pasta, rice, or coffee, the Kitchen Faucet Mount gives you noticeably cleaner-tasting water with far less sediment, for a fraction of the cost of a full filtration system — a smart, affordable upgrade for anyone who cooks regularly at home. It's a single 5-micron activated carbon block doing the work, the same media that handles taste and odor on our larger systems, just without a membrane behind it.

Purikor actually sells this design in three tiers — a single carbon block, a two-stage sediment-plus-carbon version, and a three-stage version with a UV lamp. We install the single-stage model on purpose: it's a countertop filter for cooking water, not a drinking water system, so the extra stages the bigger tiers add don't buy you anything here. That single stage is a 5-micron activated carbon block, the same “CTO” media used across our Purikor product line, rated by the manufacturer to remove chlorine, taste, odor, and particles down to 5 microns in one pass.
Point-of-use carbon filters like this one are a well-studied category, and the honest research backs up what carbon is actually good for: reliable, large reductions in free chlorine (often 99% or more in tested units), plus measurable drops in lead and other tap-sourced contaminants versus unfiltered water from the same tap. That's a real result from a small amount of media on a low-volume tap — not a token gesture, but also not the same claim as a drinking-safe barrier.
One detail worth knowing before you book: it includes a bypass valve, a small lever that lets you switch between filtered and unfiltered water right at the tap. Useful for anything you don't need filtered — filling a big pot, rinsing a dish — so you're not running everything through media you're paying to replace. It also runs on ordinary building pressure, 15 to 80 PSI per the manufacturer, a wider tolerance than our ultrafiltration systems need, so pressure is never a qualifying question for this one the way it is for a full system.
Worth repeating plainly, same as we say on our other carbon-only products: this is a taste-and-sediment filter for water you're mostly boiling anyway, not a barrier against pathogens the way our drinking water systems are.
